Bio | Maurice best Grand Slam result was ever in 1923 and 1924, he reached the second round in Australia and Wimbledon. He also competed in Wimbledon in 1925 with Roger George but the Jean Borotra - Rene Lacoste duo stopped them (2-6 6-2 6-2 6-3). In 1930 he paired with fellow swiss Max Ellmer but he did not survive the first round. Apart of Majors, Maurice played at Cote d'Azur Championships in 1921 where he lost on quarterfinals against Giovanni Balbi de Robecco (2-6 6-3 6-2). Also he took part in singles at Swiss National Championships in 1930 and in the final Charles Frederick Aeschlimann won in three sets (6-4 1-6 6-2 6-2). |
