Bio | He was the third child and the second son of Wilson Fox and Emily Anne Doyle. He was educated Charterhouse, Marlborough College, University College London and Trinity College Cambridge. He represented the Cambridge University at Lawn Tennis in 1885. In 1888, he called to the Bar, became barrister of Lincoln's Inn. He edited the South African Mining Journal in 1892-94. He was appointed as a Public Prosecutor of Rhodesia in 1894-1898. He was the manager of the British South Africa Company in 1898, and director in 1913. He entered the House of Commons in 1917. |
