Bio He was born in Honolulu in 1877, and attended Westminister School, Phillips Academy, and Yale University, from which he graduated in 1899. He lived in Connecticut before moving to Colorado Springs, where he engaged in real estate before becoming a reporter for the Evening Telegraph, eventually buying it and the Gazette and starting the Herald. He served one term in the Colorado House of Representatives and was chairman of the Progressive Party of Colorado during 1914-1916. He volunteered as a member of the National War Work Council and International Committee of the YMCA during World War I. Dodge was chairman of the state committee of the YMCA for several years and president of Colorado Springs group. He belonged to numerous clubs, including the Chicago Club, the Denver Club, Elks Club, and Broadmotor Golf Club. He pursued public welfare work and philanthropic activities after selling the Gazette. About 1900 Dodge married Regina Lunt, daughter of Judge Horace G. Lunt, in Colorado Springs; the society column of the New York Times announced the wedding. The Dodges moved to Washington, D.C., in the 1930s.
