Bio He is a retired tennis player from Germany, who turned professional in 1986. The right-hander won two singles titles (1988, Bristol and 1991, Rosmalen) in his career. Saceanu reached his highest singles ATP-ranking in March 1988 when he became the number 60 of the world.

Saceanu, son of a neurosurgery professor named Alexander and a German-born nurse named Ana-Cornelia, moved with his family to Germany in 1984. He was naturalized four months after his arrival in Germany.
He began playing tennis when he was nine. He was ranked No. 1 in the Romanian 14s and one year later moved with his family to West Germany.
Saceanu, who has a brother, became a professional tennis player in 1986. In the same year he won the German championship title in singles and in that same year he was ranked No. 1 in the 18s. It was apparently the youth championship title. Günther Bosch, the coach Boris Beckers, was the coach of the tennis professional residing in Neuss from May 1987. This year Saceanu won the Challenger tournaments in Graz and Valkenswaard. In 1988 he advanced to the round of 16 of the Australian Open and also won the Grand Prix tournament in Bristol. The second Grand Prix tournament victory of his career in singles was in 1991 in Rosmalen. On March 7, 1988, Saceanu achieved his highest career position in the tennis world rankings in singles with the 60th place. In the double classification he was ranked 111 on October 16, 1989. Overall, he won $ 738,632 in prize money over the course of his career.

In the club Saceanu played among other things at least 1987 for the TC Blau-Weiß Neuss and for the DTG Blau-Weiss Dinslaken, with which he was promoted to the tennis Bundesliga in 1996.
