Kartal won her first title in November 2021, on the clay courts at ITF W15 Antalya, beating Hungarian player Amarissa Toth 7-5, 7-5 in the final, shortly followed by her second title, and her first on hardcourts, at ITF W15 Monastir beating former world no.40 Ayumi Morita 6-1, 6-2.

Kartal won the women's title at the UK Pro League, beating Freya Christie 6-0, 6-1 in the final.

Kartal was called up to the Great Britain Billie Jean King Cup team for the Qualifying Round match against Czech Republic in Prague in April 2022, although she was not selected to play any rubbers.
