Bio Married Colonel Paul Marie Alexandre Astraud in 1907. Active years circa 1900-06. Popularly known as Margherita, this player was the daughter of Count Joseph Hamilton de Robiglio (1864-1951), a native of Florence, Italy. He was more than likely the only child of Countess Robina de Robiglio (née Hamilton; 1821-1888), who appears to have been born in Scotland. She is the origin of the Hamilton in the family name.

At some point the de Robiglios moved to Nice, France, where they resided at 36 Boulevard Hugo. Several members of the family appear to have joined the Nice Lawn Tennis Club, where Margherita won the women's singles title in 1904 (her father had won the men's singles title at the same tournament in 1896).

1904 was definitely Margherita's most successful year on the lawn tennis court, as she was also runner-up in the singles at the South of France Championships, also held at the Nice Lawn Tennis Club, and won the Monte Carlo tournament.

It appears that Margherita stopped entering lawn tennis tournaments after her marriage in 1907 to Colonel Paul Marie Alexandre Astraud. However, their daughter, Josette (b. 1914; later Mme Amouretti), would also enjoy some success at tennis.
