Bio She is a retired Japanese tennis player.
Junko graduated from Kobe Shoin Women's Academy .
She competed in singles in the French Open twice and in the U.S. Open once. Competing with her sister Kazuko Sawamatsu in ladies doubles, she reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 1970, losing to eventual champions Rosie Casals and Billie Jean King.

From Junko's point of view, the Sawamatsu family has been a prestigious tennis family since his grandfather's time. At a house with a tennis court in Nishinomiya City , Junko and Kazuko naturally became familiar with tennis. Junko 1965 ( Showa entered the seventh in the women's singles of the "All-Japan ranking" in 40 years), 1967 and 1969 but the was ranked in third place, Yuku been overtaken by Kazuko sister in tennis results. Junko participated in the French Open women's singles twice in 1968 and 1969, but both ended up losing the first round.
