Bio Helena Anliot was one of Sweden's foremost tennis players in the second half of the 1970s and was ranked number 1 for the first time in 1975. That year she won her first indoor Swedish championship. She was No 1 also in 1976. In total, she won sixteen Swedish championships, three of them in singles. Her best WTA ranking was number 30. She retired in 1980, at the age of 23.

Helena Anliot became Swedish junior champion in singles in 1974. The same year she won the Australian hardcourt championships (in the quarterfinal she defeated Olga Morozova), and she played mixed doubles together with Björn Borg in Wimbledon in 1973. She lost her 3 singles finals (Swedish Open, Queesland State Open, Avon Futures of Toronto), however she claimed 3 doubles titles (2 in Kitzbühel and 1 at the US Clay court championships).

Helena Anliot participated in the Swedish Fed Cup team 1974-77 and 1979-80. She played a total of 17 matches and she won twelve. 11 of her matches were in doubles together with Mimmi Wikstedt or Nina Bohm. Anliot in 1979 together with Wikstedt defeated the Czech doubles Hana Mandlikova / Regina Maršíková (3–6, 6–1, 6–1). In singles, she defeated American top player Julie Heldman in 1975.
