Bio She was a Hungarian tennis player, amateur before 1968 and professional until the mid-1970s.
Best representative of her country (before Andrea Temesvári in the 1980s, and Ágnes Szávay in the 2000s), she reached the quarterfinals at Roland Garros in 1975, beaten by the Australian Janet Newberry.
For a decade and a half, she played on the national team between 1964 and 1979, she was awarded the Tennis Player of the Year in Hungary in 1973 and 74, and she won 27 Hungarian championship titles. She was also one of the best players in the world - 37th on world rankings. She reached the semifinal in Monte-Carlo, the quarterfinals both at Roland Garros and the Italian Open. She won also 8 European championships. She defeated Martina Navratilova when the Hall of Fame player was already 10th in the world rank (1976).
In his career he won a double title at WTA Austrian Open in 1974, paired with compatriot Beatrix Klein, and she was a finalist at tournament in Hamburg.
She holds numerous trophies for veteran world competition, including former world champions and European champions.

She was one of the first to receive The Lifetime award of the Hungarian Tennis Association in 2006, and the European Tennis Association has also been honored with the distinguished personality of Hungarian tennis in 2017.
