Bio Their parents were Horace Walter Batt and Amy Cox Dayer.
In 1934, she started her career as a prominent junior player when she won the junior indoor championships in Dulwich, London. She defeated Rita Jarvis in the final 6-3, 7-5.
The solely Grand Slam tournament among the four majors, she participated at regularly, was the Championships in Wimbledon. She entered first time in 1935 and her last Wimbledon appearance dated back in 1950. Her best result was reaching the quarterfinal in 1946 partnered with Molly Lincoln. They were defeated by Louise Brough and Margaret Osborne who were crowned as champion in ladies' doubles that year. She was a member of the Wightman Cup team in 1946.
