| Bio | A Times of India notice gives the date as 16th April 1884 at the Parish Church, Hove, Brighton, and describes Edith as the youngest daughter of the late Major W Coleridge, and Charles as a solicitor, son of the late MP for Penryn & Falmouth. She was the 1887 Wimbledon finalist, losing 6-2 6-3 to Lottie Dod. She lost her first match the other years she contested the Championships in 1884 (going out to Blanche Bingley 6-3 6-3) and 1890. Her overall Wimbledon record was 2-3 |
