Bio | Andrea is the younger daughter of Jim Farley. She started to play tennis at very early age. Andrea had a successful junior career, she won Belgian Junior Open, in 1988, she reached the Girls' final at Roland Garros and lost in 3 sets from Julie Halard in a very close match. Next year she reached the third round of the main draw at Australian Open in her first major where she was defeated by Claudia Kohde-Kilsch in another 3 setter. This was Farley's sixth straight matches (3 qualification rounds) at the Australian Open. At Roland Garros, she advanced into the second round when she won the first set against the eventual semifinalist Mary-Joe Fernandez then Farley lost the next 2 sets. One year later, she beat Mary Pierce in the final qualification match at US Open. She graduated from University of Florida then the Vanderbilt University Law School. Farley currently represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and general corporate matters. |
