Hardest Grand Slam Title Runs in Tennis History
Which champions faced the toughest road to glory? Our Draw Difficulty Index (DDI) ranks title runs based on opponent seeding and match load, revealing the most grueling paths to Grand Slam victory.
How is DDI Calculated?
The Draw Difficulty Index combines three weighted components:
Higher-seeded opponents beaten = higher score
Percentage of matches against seeded players
Total sets and games played throughout the tournament
Walkovers and retirements reduce the score via the Draw Integrity Modifier (DIM). Learn more about our methodology
