Bio In his career, he became twice champion of Czechoslovakia in men's doubles, in 1930 with Novotny and a year later with Pavel Macenauer. His first club was TK Precolor Přerov.

Between 1931 and 1936, he played six seasons for the Czechoslovak team in the Davis Cup with a record 11 wins and 3 defeats. His record in singles is 1-0, when he defeated South African Maxwell Bertram in 1935 and his record in doubles is 10-3. He played twice in the first round in 1931 in Wimbledon and in 1932 in the French championships.

In the Eastern Mediterranean Championship in 1929, he finished in first in men's doubles with his teammate Sonka, then in 1930, he finished in second in singles, and in first place in men's doubles with his teammate Joseph Maletsch.
